Terms of Service
The Social Circle is a Canadian-built social platform with separate Worlds for different kinds of posts, content, and community.
These Terms explain the basic rules for using the platform. By using The Social Circle, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who these Terms apply to
These Terms apply to anyone who uses The Social Circle. That includes browsing, creating an account, posting, commenting, messaging, reacting, using profiles, using badges, supporting creators, or using any other feature on the platform.
2. Age and legal use
You must be at least 13 years old to use The Social Circle.
You agree to use the platform lawfully and responsibly. Do not use The Social Circle for fraud, harassment, abuse, illegal activity, exploitation, spam, or anything that puts other users or the platform at risk.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account, your password, and the activity that happens under your login.
Keep your login details secure. If you believe someone accessed your account without permission, contact support as soon as possible at support@thesocialcircle.world.
4. Your content
What you create and post is still yours.
When you post content on The Social Circle, you give the platform permission to host, store, display, process, share, and show that content as needed to operate the service. This includes showing posts in Worlds, profiles, feeds, Home Feed, search or discovery surfaces, notifications, and other product areas where your content is designed to appear.
You are responsible for what you post. Please make sure you have the rights to share your content and that it does not violate the law, these Terms, or someone else's rights.
5. Visibility and Worlds
The Social Circle has separate Worlds for different types of content. Some posts, profiles, badges, and activity may appear differently depending on the World, privacy setting, feature, or account state.
Home Feed may connect content from enabled Worlds, but each World can still have its own posting style, profile behavior, limits, or visibility rules.
Some features may include public areas, private areas, accepted-user areas, or feature-specific visibility. Only share information you are comfortable using inside that feature.
6. What you cannot do here
Do not use The Social Circle to post, upload, share, promote, or coordinate content or activity that is:
- illegal, exploitative, or unsafe
- hateful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or targeted at harming others
- sexually exploitative, predatory, or involving minors in an unsafe way
- fraudulent, scam-related, impersonating someone, or intentionally deceptive in a harmful way
- spammy, malicious, automated in an abusive way, or designed to disrupt the platform
- infringing on another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
Do not try to break the service, bypass security, dodge moderation, abuse reports or badges, scrape data in harmful ways, or interfere with other users' ability to use the platform.
7. Moderation and enforcement
The goal is to keep The Social Circle safe, usable, and worth being part of.
Content may be removed, visibility may be limited, and accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended, or banned if needed to protect users, enforce these Terms, respond to legal or safety concerns, or keep the platform running properly.
Moderation decisions may not always be perfect, but action may be taken when something clearly crosses the line or creates risk for users or the service.
8. Reports, blocks, and safety tools
The Social Circle may provide reporting, blocking, privacy, and visibility tools. These tools are meant to help users protect themselves and help the platform review problems.
Reports may be reviewed manually. The platform may keep moderation records where needed for safety, enforcement, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.
9. Paid features, support, badges, and creator tools
Some features may involve payments, support, tips, badges, creator tools, founder/supporter items, or other paid features.
Payments may be processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. Their own terms, rules, and privacy policies may also apply.
The Social Circle is still growing, so paid features, creator tools, badges, payout-related functions, supporter items, or access rules may change, pause, or be removed over time.
10. Creator earnings and payouts
Creator earnings and payout tools may be limited, manual, reviewed, or unavailable depending on the current stage of the platform, the creator's account, payment provider rules, region support, fraud checks, disputes, refunds, or other safety concerns.
Earnings shown inside the product may be estimated, pending, held, under review, or subject to platform rules before they become eligible for payout. The Social Circle may delay, reduce, deny, reverse, or review payouts where needed to handle fraud, chargebacks, abuse, payment issues, legal requirements, or platform safety.
Creators are responsible for their own taxes, records, and legal obligations connected to income they receive through the platform.
11. Platform availability and changes
The Social Circle is live, but still early and evolving.
Features may be added, changed, paused, limited, renamed, or removed. Some features may break, behave differently across devices, or change as the product improves.
I do my best to keep the platform working, but I cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, bug-free, uninterrupted, secure from every possible issue, or free from data problems.
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
12. Ending access
You can stop using The Social Circle at any time.
Access to all or part of the platform may be limited or removed if these Terms are broken, the service is abused, legal or safety issues come up, or continued access creates risk for the platform or its users.
To request account deletion, email support@thesocialcircle.world.
13. Liability
Using any online platform comes with risk.
To the extent allowed by law, The Social Circle and its operator are not responsible for indirect, unexpected, special, or consequential losses connected to your use of the platform. This can include things like downtime, lost access, lost content, service interruptions, payment provider issues, third-party problems, or other issues outside direct control.
14. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as The Social Circle changes.
If updates are made, the “Last updated” date will be changed. By continuing to use the platform after updates are posted, you agree to the updated Terms.
